Which credit cards do you accept?
AMERICAN EXPRESS, DISCOVER, MASTERCARD, and VISA credit cards are accepted.
 
 
Can I open a commercial account?
Yes. The majority of our business is done with commercial accounts. If you plan to do ongoing business with A.E.S. request a credit application. Call during business hours [8:00 AM cst to 4:30 PM cst]: (800)238-2529 or e-mail us: aes@partsfortools.com
 
Can I cancel my order?
Yes. You can cancel stock item orders that have not been shipped. You cannot, however, cancel special order items once the vendor has received the order. If you do receive an order that was canceled, accept delivery and call customer service for return instructions.
 
 
I canceled my order but I haven't received a credit yet. How long do credits take?
We submit all requests for credit within 24 hours of receipt; however, it may take 7-10 business days for you to receive your credit. You should see this on your next credit card statement or the following one, depending on where you are in your billing cycle.
 
Can I return an item that is damaged?
You should carefully check the package for visual damage prior to accepting delivery. If you suspect damage, refuse delivery, or note the damage on the delivery order, and get the delivery driver's signature. Acceptance of damaged shipment is the consignee's responsibility.
 
Can I return an item that is defective?
We will accept new defective product returns for replacement provided we are advised of the nature of the defect, return authorization has been issued, and the product is returned freight prepaid.
 
Can I return an item I just don't want?
We will accept returns, with the exception of special non-stock items , for credit within 30 days of shipment, provided you call for return authorization, you ship freight prepaid, the item has not been used, and is in the original packaging. Freight will not be reimbursed, and all return goods are subject to a 20% restocking charge.

What happens if the item I ordered is not in stock?
Unless you order "ship or cancel", we backorder all non-stock and out of stock items and ship when received. If the item you order is not available we will notify you via phone, postal mail or e-mail.
 
Why was I charged sales tax on my purchase?
Orders shipped to states outside Tennessee are not subject to Tennessee sales tax. Orders shipped to a Tennessee address are charged sales tax unless we have a sales tax exemption certificate on file for your company.
 
How long will it take to receive my order?
In-stock orders received before noon, central standard time, are normally shipped the same day received. Orders received too late for same-day shipment are shipped the next day. Special order and back order items are shipped within 48 hours of receipt. Qualifying orders are shipped UPS ground unless other arrangements, next day air, etc. are made when order is placed.
 
Can I have an order shipped to my P.O. Box?
No. We ship UPS unless the shipment is too large or too heavy and requires a commercial carrier. A valid street address is required to insure proper delivery.

Can I ship my order to a different address?
Yes, when placing your order let the sales person know the shipping address will be different than the billing address. Remember to use a street address, not a Post Office Box, for any shipping address.

How are shipping charges calculated?
Shipping charges vary according to product, type, weight, carrier, and destination. Most products are shipped via UPS (because they are convenient, competitively priced, offer package insurance and excellent tracking software). Larger, heavier items (shipments) are generally shipped common carrier, and require higher shipping rates. A.E.S. also offers express shipping options - UPS blue or next day air. Express delivery results in additional charges.
